Ahhh…pizza. That wonderful 5th food group. I love having such cool friends. They are always around when you need them, as I like being around for them when they need help. Still no apology from the store owner yet (thanks a farking lot for being such a *wonderful* friend, and you know who you are!). I’ve not been paid for the website I made for her, so if I don’t receive some fair amount of compensation, all that content is going with me, as I did all the retouching and uploading of the stuff! Some people!
At least I’m off tomorrow, so I’ll have some fun then.
I got a rude awakening last night. I helped a good friend of mine out by running her store for the day as she was out sick. OK..no problem there. It was kinda slow, so the other helper called up to see how things were going. I told her it was kinda slow, and keeping in mind what happened the previous day, we both concluded it wouldn’t be worth her coming in the snow a half-hour trip just to sit on our thumbs. Well, one of the other guys came in and things started picking up, but we handled it well, and ended the day on a high note.
Until it came time to call the owner with what happened that day…..
Instead of “great job, guys” or “thanks for helping out”, all I heard was “Well, we could have done better with another *good* salesperson on the floor” and “Why was I not consulted on this?” Gee…some show of trust there, huh?
Screw it…I’m done there anyway, and have no intention of going back.
I am really getting sick and tired of the programs we use at work breaking ALL the god-forsaken time. Then when you try to find a good workaround for it, they biatch at you about that too! OK, fine…if it’s broke, then it’s not my fault if a customer gets pissed off. I’m not the one getting paid to make sure all the programs work, so if they’re not worried about it, then to heck with ’em! They can pay me to sit around for all I care!
Today was an 11-hour day down at Rave’s, and boy are my feet sore! No, I wasn’t in heels today, but I think it was due to my being off my feet a lot of the time at my regular job that’s hurting me there. Next week is my last week of working in the store, and hopefully I’ll have enough for that corset I’ve been dreaming about all summer. My connection went down yesterday and I reported it, then they had someone out the next morning (this morning) and all is well in the world again! Not bad…not bad at all. I hope things go well tomorrow…I am so sick of sucky-arse customers whining about their miserable little lives, and give ME a break for a change.
I so love seeing all these pissed off people telling us in ALL CAPS, italics, and whatever else that their life sucks, and it’s all their ISP’s fault. Geez…did those people just emerge from under their rocks in the last 10 years? What did they do BEFORE this thing called ‘the internet’?? I bet they were the ones that found all sorts of things to biatch about before, and now they’re focusing their griping energies on the computer. Yeah, it’s a fun thing to be able to go online, but it’s not the end all/be all of existence.
I do SO wish those people would just get a life, and leave those of us with real direction in their lives alone!
Geez, I farking HATE Go!Zilla! Do NOT download that piece of crap if your life depended on it! I had to do a system restore just to get rid of it from my browser! AGH! Never again do I plan on downloading anything remotely like that piece of tripe!

Well, I got my response tonight, and although I understanding the reasoning the way things happen at the store I work at on the weekends, I’m gonna hang it up for a while and concentrate on my school work. She has no resentment towards me if I do, so I’m holding her to that and call it good for now. I need my two days free a week back anyways. I have enough cool stuff in my closet now anyways, so it’s all good.
