Every time I get ready to take a little trip, a vacation, or just a day run, I get excited…especially when I have to wait for it. I know it’s going to be just a short trip…just a little “weekend fling”, but it’ll be like going home once again. So many things I have planned out, and so many people to see, I doubt I’ll get to do it all in one 3-day trip….but I’m sure going to try. People go on about their lives and do different things, but it’s nice to regroup and reminisce once in a while too. I need to get creative again and make some new things, but it’s just a matter of getting the time together (I do keep saying that, don’t I?). It’s nice that I can keep in touch with my friends, and I love hearing about the adventures that they have. Some of them are on myspace and LJ too, and the rest I chat or E-mail or phone with. I know some people will be shocked to see me back in town again, but I’m just flitting in on the wind, and leaving about the same way.
Is it worth driving 550 miles each way for a 3-day weekend? HECK YEAH! and I’m gonna do it again too come October all fates willing.
I finally found a “companion harlequin” doll for the one my wife bought me for Christmas some years ago, so now I’ll have two to sit next to each other. I’ll really have to put a pic up of the happy two once the other one arrives. I do love nice fancy things like that….now if I can just find more OF them. Time to hit the thrift stores I think. I know there are some here, so there is no excuse. There are also a couple of nice Asian restaurants here too, so no excuse not to see those either. Perhaps it’s time to go exploring my own backyard once again. Who knows….I might actually find something………GOOD. Never hurts to try I guess. 8 more days! I can’t wait!
