I hate collection companies…..yes, I really do. Of course, I can’t think of anyone who does. They never listen to you, they always jack up billing and then threaten you with “legal action” if you don’t cough up the dough – never mind if you can’t feed yourself or get late on other important bills, but they want their blood money.
I guess it brings me to my first seething rant – business practices. There is this optician in town >>>BARNETT OPTICIANS<<< who lied to us about making sure our testing would be covered, and then wanted us to pay for it! We thought we were in the right arguing the bill, telling them to just bill the right people. You think they would listen, right? Nope! Not at all…they just kept raising it higher and higher, and then whisked it off to collections!
Collection companies really should have to follow one set rule – NEVER contact a client at their place of work. It's disruptive, and it really puts the worker in a foul mood for the rest of the day. You want money? Don't make people so pissed off, that they may leave their job (or get fired by mouthing off at the wrong person). NO…this didn't happen to me (not getting fired or quit, but I was foul the rest of the day). You just can't argue with them and expect to win, unless you know a family member who happens to be an attorney, and will work for free or gift cards.
So now we're shafted twice, and are out a bunch of money. Will we starve over it? Thankfully no, but it's the PRINCIPLE! IT SUCKS!
So hear me now….if you ever get service at BARNETT OPTICIANS IN BILLINGS, MT – NEVER believe ANYTHING they tell you that will be covered unless you get it in iron-clad writing on their company letterhead! EVER! YOU WILL GET SCREWED!!!!
Ahhhhhh! Now I feel better….at least for now 😉
