Today is a really really really slow day. One of those few days, aside from the call once in a blue moon, that I feel I’m really wasting my time – although it really isn’t a waste, because those who do contact me, need my help. I do need a vacation though. I really can’t afford to go anywhere, so maybe I’ll take this time to get caught up, scrounge around some junkyards for parts, and maybe……..just maybe get some things done.
I look down at my escape pod, and it looks back up and me saying I need to escape. It’s cute as a button – really. Yeah, it hasn’t been to a car wash since picking it up from the dealer, but I can easily remedy that one. I changed my ringtone to a Bon Jovi theme (yeah, I’m weird like that, but they didn’t have the Blake Lewis version), and I’m still contemplating between XM and Sirius for satellite radio. My friends have offered up their opposing viewpoints, so it really comes down to cost. What would be more cost-effective to ME? I guess I really should find some more saleable items to put up on eBay. Dang, that thing is addictive. Great way to make some extra cash though.
I still dream of the days when I lived in Denver, and was freer to be myself and not worry as much about what other people thought. There were more bike trails it seemed, although I have yet to check out all the ones here first befor passing judgment there. They actually put some on top of the Rims! OMG, can you believe that? A lot of the old dirt trails we used to take our cars down have grown over, so I guess not as many adventurous souls are still wandering around the rocks (too many drive-overs I guess). I remember spending some nice days up there, and especially one day I took a shortcut from the Heights to the west end by going up and over the top of them. I don’t know if they still tell of it, but there is a way you can get from the bottom to the top going straight up the front! It’s true, I swear!
I just hope this week is a bit more eventful, but in the good ways.
