I really should learn to read the fine print on things more clearly. I went and picked up a shiny new Xbox 360 Arcade the other night, as I’m a Katamari Damacy nut, and wanted the new experience (no, I don’t play Halo, so don’t ask). I popped in my Xbox Lego Star Wars to play a few rounds, but got a screen that told me you need a hard drive to play original Xbox titles.
I guess I should have looked at the box a little more closely. It does say it, but not how I think it should have been said. I think it should say “hard drive required to play original Xbox titles”. What it says on the box is:
Xbox Arcade: All 360 titles
Xbox Pro: All 360 titles + 300 original Xbox titles
Xbox Elite: All 360 titles + 300 original Xbox titles
So heh….joke’s on me. I’ll just go get a 120GB drive later on, since I don’t need the headset or those other things – I’ll basically have the equivalent of the “Elite” for less money. I do like the pack-in games for the Arcade better than the Pro anyway, cuz now I’m hooked on Boom Boom Rocket big-time.
