Next week is another move. One thing I can say about moves is….live LIGHT! It’ll make moving easier! I think as I go along, my life is like a katamari – I just keep collecting stuff, and it grows beyond measure. I’m looking forward to more space in a house, but it’s the getting crap ready and moving it over that’s the real pain in the butt. This weekend is the condensing and packing extravaganza, and then next week sometime will begin the move.
I feel like those guys doing the rig move on Ice Road Truckers. Just way too much stuff left, and the time is running out. Of course, no one ever finds out about a place a month in advance – nope! It’s always less than 2 weeks away, they won’t hold it another month, and if you’re going to do it, you have to do it NOW.
I’ve gotten a little support, and I’ve gotten a lot of flak about the move – why? Because of where it is. It’s on the south side of town – the deep south. Although….I drive through the area in the daytime and at night, and I don’t see what everyone is talking about. Just like any other neighborhood, there are nice places, and not so nice places – it’s all about how well you take care of your place – do you just patch stuff back together, or do you actually fix it?
I’ll just be glad once all the schlepping is done……..
As someone who has lived in places that the police don’t go into, there isn’t a place in Montana that scares me.
Except, perhaps Petroleum County. That place is weird, man. 700 people, and 7 teeth. Yipes.

Yeah … what ever people.
Well you are just proof of the late great George Carlin’s idea that life is nothing more then the collection of STUFF and when you get too much STUFF you move to a bigger place and then …. get MORE STUFF!
As for living in the bad part of town? Obviously these people have never lived outsife of MT. After Denver and a subburb of San Diego … is there a BAD PART of Billings? Next thing your gonna tell me is there are gangs and drive by shootings!
Good luck Sis. See you soon.

Remember, I too lived in Denver, and in Cali, so I know all about it – especially when the place you live in is regularly patrolled by the police. I think things are going to be just fine, and I will definitely enjoy the added space. I hope we get all settled in by the time you make it up someday.
You are coming up sometime – right? 😉
