It’s getting down to the wire in preparation for my Denver trip. It’s crunch time, go time, countdown time – whatever you want to call it, it’s getting close. Am I ready? I think so. Is the car ready? I hope so.
The main worry – the thermostat is done, so now I just have to check the air, the gas, flush out the air filter, and make sure the tires are up to pressure. I should still be able to make it to Casper on one tank of gas, so I’ll fill and fuel there, then it’s off to Nebraska, and then Denver.
I plan on seeing as much as I can, and catching up with people I haven’t seen in a long time. NDK is that weekend as well – one big anime lalapalooza for the area, so I hope to see some goodies this year, although it would be even cooler if Mari was there, but that’s just wishful thinking. I think I have a better chance of winning the lottery than running into Mari in Denver – it’s quite a distance after all.
The biggest part of this trip is really spending time with friends. Friends I’ve known for a long time, and has grown to appreciate over the years. It should be a lot of fun. I plan on taking movies and pics along the way, so I’ll have those posted as the trip progresses.
3 more days of work after today, and then 6 days of vacation……well, 2 of them pretty much on the road. It’ll be good!
