These days, I have friends from pretty much all over, and I’ve heard many different weather stories…..how it’s hot, cold, muggy, gloomy, snowy…..just about any kind you can imagine. This year, we seem to be having the type of winter that I grew up with here in Montana – meaning cold with lots of snow!
After all these years, I’m pretty much used to how it gets – people don’t know how to drive, people complain that it’s so cold out they can’t feel their limbs, and the coffee shops are filled with people warming up and socializing. I like taking short walks or drives to see the snow, I take my time shoveling my sidewalk, and I regularly go to Starbucks to get my favorite cold-weather drink: caramel apple cider!
Yes…. this is the perfect thing on a cold day. No coffee for me – never could stomach the stuff. I guess you have to be raised on it to appreciate it. I remember going to coffee with friends during the winter, but sadly, most of those friends have moved away and I haven’t had the best luck getting people to come out and socialize over something to drink. *sigh*
I still enjoy winter though…..even though I have problems with car doors every year…..it’s all part of the season here in Montana…..and it’s still very beautiful.
