I think that song by the Go-Go’s really brings it all together. Soon I’ll be taking a much-needed vacation, and heading back down to Denver for a few days – get some shopping done, bag some ramen, see a bunch of really cool friends from back in my Denver hey-days, and…….and……..well…..have fun! Yeah…that’s the ticket. I’ve been at my job for almost a year now, and no signs of any burnout! Woo-hoo! I think I’m gonna really have a shot at making a CAREER instead of just a job! Yesssssss! I think the only way I would leave is if something came along that was MUCH better in one of the other places I used to live, so I can’t really discount the possibility of moving on, but I’m in a nice comfortable place right now, and I’m very happy!
This year celebrates TWO milestones if you can believe that. I celebrate being happily hitched for a full decade, and knowing one of my bestest and dearest friends for TWO decades! So this is truly a time of celebration. A time of crossroads and evolutions. If you look back in my archive from the beginning forward, there have been a LOT of changes in my life….new lives coming into focus, growing pains, and jumping in and out of job holes til I found the one that was the perfect fit. I thought I had the perfect career back in Denver, but there were too many political games going on there, and the management never knew how to pull it’s head out of its collective arse. I guess I really can’t complain about much (except occasional lack of sleep, but that goes with the territory), so I am a reasonably happy camper. 🙂
Oh yeah….gotta shop for some “really getting to be freaking rare” Mari Iijima CD’s here soon too! I’m going to try and keep this updated a lot more regularly as well. Wish me luck, and please feel free to comment here if you so wish. I always enjoy the company.
