I think I’m gonna be sick after watching the video on this site. That’s just wrong on so many levels.

From customerssuck.com:
If you’re that much of a tight-arse, why not make some money by shoving coal up there so you poop diamonds?
I thought about this, and came to the realization that if someone who is above you in authority makes a decision you feel is stupid or wrong, why fight it? It’s not your decision, after all, so just go along with it, and let whoever came up with the plan take the fall for it if things go seriously awry! Why try to be in control of more things than what are beneficial to you? I don’t worry about too much minutia anymore.
I took a walk last night, which is something I usually don’t have too much time to do these days, and it was enjoyable! I got dropped off at the hospital to see me mum who’s down with pneumonia, so I stayed with her until all the nurses swarmed around doing their nightly rituals and routines, took her car home so it wouldn’t get towed or worse, and then walked home. I chose to do this – CHOSE. If you look around these days, you just don’t see many people cycling or walking anymore, because they’d rather get there fast. Amazing how much you can actually miss when whizzing past it at 35mph……
Oh, and I still love shopping at my local Payless. At least some stores are fun to browse anymore. That, and Border’s. 🙂
Never underestimate the craftiness of the elderly………
Dang! THAT’S gotta hurt!
Oh, I’d LOVE to get my hands on one of THESE!!!
Wow….I guess I need to rethink my sizing/image thoughts on my website. I made my new menubar, but when looking at it on a square screen…..ummm….it’s a touch huge. I have some new ideas though, so I’m gonna try those next to see how they work – including the idea of a static background image and clear elements on top.
What can I say…..it’s a work in progress…..
This year, I have two things in store. I plan on catching up with a bunch of friends and enjoy their company once again, and I plan on enacting on my new motto for the year.
My new motto is: Embrace Change
Yes, it sounds corporate and buzzword-ish, but I think it really fits me this year. I guess it stems a lot from the work enviroment I thrive in. Many places out there don’t change much year after year, but I love change. I love seeing new things happening all the time, and so this is the place for me! I’ve done very well thus far, and hope to keep doing so, and growing in the process. I’ve made many new friends up here, and I’m finding a certain security in all of that.
I’ve been doing some more fidgeting with my tablet lately, both using it in other applications, and getting used to it in the drawing aspect of things. I still need to install Photoshop, because that program better utilizes the pressure-sensitivity of the tablet to do what I want it to do, so I can probably sketch more like I do on paper, since Corel seems to be an “all-or-nothing” affair – either it makes a full-on mark, or not at all. Now it could be that I just don’t have it set up right, so I’m taking more time to pursue that as well. I also used it as a controller for playing Bejeweled 2 (which I now have on ALL of my PC’s as well as our 360 – it’s that addictive), which was a lot of fun, although it certainly didn’t improve my score at all (I still pretty much suck on it).
I think I’m going to list my first van on eBay to see if I can get any money out of it, since I would imagine body/glass houses would pay some decent money for the parts I have. It’s a crapshoot, but it’s easier than the local paper, and people up in these parts – being as scattered as they are, may turn to online sources more readily anyway (yes, we do know how to use computers up here, wisenheimers).
I’ve also cultivated a good relationship with one of stores I frequent here – the local Payless outlet. It goes to show that being nice can reap some good rewards, since they may be getting more styles I’m into (especially in my size – of course I’m sure this is just coincidence), but it’s just a business I’ve warmed up to, since they’ve always been very friendly. Hey….we all have our vices, right?
Oh yeah….I re-did my website menubar again. Come see it at http://www.shockqueen.com! It may seem a bit big after reviewing it in other browsers, so it’s likely due for a resizing. I like the way it turned out though 🙂 I plan on having some gallery pics up soon as well, so stay tuned!
EDIT: I was going to copy this on MySpace, but after fighting “unexpected errors” too many times, to heck with it.
Whoever said words hurt more than actions was never beaned with a 50-pound war mace.
I pray that nothing goes wrong with anywhere that is showing the Super Bowl game today. I hope everyone enjoys watching their game, and has a lot of fun with their family and friends.
I hope everyone has a nice clear picture and has made all their arrangements well in advance for the event that is due to start soon.
I could care less about the game myself. I hate sports. I just don’t want to hear anyone whine or bitch about it.
But by all means…..I hope everyone enjoys themselves, those who wish to partake of it. The biggest reward you can give me is peace and quiet – a nice peaceful day….that is all I ask.
So with that said…….GO (insert your team name here)!!!!!
